Privacy · Scrapdays

FraiZstudio, by Marco Sanfilippo. Privacy contact: info@fraizstudio.com. Policy updated on 15 October 2026. This policy applies to the original versions of Scrapdays, without the AdMob SDK, and includes the dynamic cover introduced in version 0.70. Continuity of local data is maintained even when the app’s displayed name changes.

The journal, tasks, profiles, imported attachments, preferences and other personal content are stored on the device. Local profiles are not accounts on FraiZstudio servers. Scrapdays does not include advertising, tracking or analytics services and does not send the journal to FraiZstudio.

Calendars, contacts, photos and camera access are optional: the app requests permission when you use the relevant feature. Selected content is copied into the local journal or planner. You can revoke permissions in device settings; revoking them does not delete copies already imported.

Favourite photos on the cover. If you enable this option and have already authorised Photos access, each time you reopen Scrapdays it chooses a thumbnail from the 200 most recent accessible Favourites that are images and are not hidden. It avoids repeating the last photo when alternatives are available. It does not automatically request new consent at launch: you can grant or change access from the Favourites section and system settings, including limiting access to individual photos. If no images are available, the manual or default cover remains.

The automatic thumbnail stays in memory only and does not change originals, Favourites or albums. The app stores the feature’s enabled state and the last photo’s identifier locally to avoid repeats; these items are not included in the iCloud replication managed by Scrapdays. This feature does not send photos or identifiers to FraiZstudio, AI assistants or other servers and does not automatically download originals from iCloud. Manual imports still create local copies of the selected content. You can turn off the dynamic cover and return to manual selection at any time.

Any existing structured health notes remain local and are excluded from the iCloud replication managed by Scrapdays; the app does not send them to weather services or the assistant.

Weather is optional and requires a separate choice, disabled initially. Consent from previous versions does not automatically enable Apple services. When you enable this feature, search sends the city name you type to Apple Maps. Apple Weather, through WeatherKit, receives the coordinates of the city you select, rounded to two decimal places. The device’s GPS location is not requested or read.

Apple handles requests and the technical data needed for its services, including connection data, under its own privacy policy. Apple states that coordinates used by WeatherKit are used to provide weather, are not associated with personally identifying information and are not tracked between requests. FraiZstudio does not receive these searches or coordinates on its own server. Journal entries, photos, appointments, contacts and health notes are not part of the requests.

You can disable requests in Scrapdays Weather settings: the app cancels ongoing operations and clears results from memory. This does not withdraw requests already received by Apple services. Available forecasts cover up to 10 days; Apple Weather branding and the link to sources are displayed alongside the data. See Apple’s privacy policy, information about Apple Maps and the description of WeatherKit. This version does not use Open-Meteo. Requests made with previous versions are subject to the Open-Meteo terms.

When available through Foundation Models, the Apple assistant processes on the device. Switching to ChatGPT copies only the question you have prepared and opens the website: you choose whether to paste and send it. The journal is not automatically sent to ChatGPT. External use of ChatGPT is subject to https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/. Shortcuts selected by the user may access other services according to their configuration and permissions.

Exports and sharing happen when you choose them; resulting copies, backups and any copies from previous versions must be managed separately. Local content remains until it is deleted using the journal’s tools or the app’s data is removed. There is no FraiZstudio account to delete.

For privacy questions, write to the contact above. Any data you voluntarily include in the email is received by the email service so we can reply; avoid unnecessary personal attachments.

Scrapdays Store edition 1.0

The Store version is separate from personal test versions. It includes a journal, planner, scrapbooking, solitaire and a greenhouse, with data saved locally. It does not include advertising, active in-app purchases or subscriptions. HealthKit, Apple Watch, manual iCloud synchronisation and AI assistants are not available in this first edition; references to these features in other versions do not indicate that they are present in Store 1.0.

Photos, camera, contacts and calendar remain optional. Apple weather requires a separate choice and does not read GPS location. The greenhouse game stores species, sowing days, growth and care only in the local profile; it does not require health data, online services, notifications or purchases. Personal audio files are imported only when the user chooses. Privacy contact: info@fraizstudio.com.
